Real God. Real people. Real lives.

We want Immanuel to be the kind of place where anyone can come and be themselves, with all their strengths & weaknesses.

Every Sunday is slightly different, but most Sundays include the following:

There are people hanging out in the lobby, chatting, eating and sipping coffee from about 4.00 PM. This is a great time to get to know some people and catch up on news. Many of the people that come along are struggling with addictions, mental health problems or homelessness. This is a key time in the heart of our community, and we’d love you to come and hang out with us.

At 4.30 PM the service get's started. The music during the service is a mix of modern and traditional songs led by a band on stage. We are an Anglican church, and we value our tradition, so we use a small amount of more formal readings (liturgies) for communion and prayers of confession etc.

We are fully convinced that the Bible is God's word and that it contains truths that can change our lives on a daily basis - so we always have a talk that focuses on a passage of the Bible, asking ourselves 'how does this apply to my life today?' (you can listen to some here).

The service usually finishes before 6 PM and afterwards there are people available to pray, and more coffee, tea, cakes, etc are available in the lobby as we hang around and chat.

We are thankful for our Anglican heritage, and our family in the Anglican Network in Canada. We want to be actively engaged in church life with one another, and our community, and be anchored in God's family.
